What we do

AWE Media are a Technology Solutions Provider (TSP) specialising in new media solutions and advanced programming services and have been designing and developing websites and custom applications for the last 20 years.

We offer a complete suite of services covering Website Development, Web and Graphic Design, Online Marketing, Ecommerce and Business Intelligence services.

We provide affordable design and development services to all types of individuals and businesses and will work closely with you to offer a fully tailored solution to your needs. After any work we carry out for you is complete we will always be on hand to offer on-going advice and assistance whenever you need it.

Our History

The AWE Media brand was founded by Scottish I.T. & web veteran Ken McMonigle who has been operating a web service company since 1997. We survived the dot com burst of the late 90’s and continued adapting to an industry which was very volatile and hard to predict.

Over the years the brand has changed as well as our base of operation. Starting out in Scotland, UK we have been providing web services to small and large businesses a like for over 20 years.

After a move to England in the late 90’s the company continued its operations expanding our client range into Europe and North America. We enjoyed spells operating from other countries such as Ireland and America.

  

In 2016 we made the biggest move in our history leaving the UK for Australia where we continued operating from Central Queensland. In 2018 we relocated south to Stanthorpe where are pleased to now be helping local businesses throughout the Granite belt, South East Queensland and beyond.

Over the past 20 years we have broken a few records and world firsts, some of these include:

  • We created the worlds first real time online bookings service for hair and beauty salons via the TONI&GUY group.
  • In 1999 we built the worlds first dedicated video games auction service, BID4AGAME.
  • We created the first ever link between the then popular Online Store system, OSCommerce and eBasda accounting systems.

Over the years we have not only seen, but have been a part of shaping, how the internet has transformed modern life and how business had to evolve as a result.

 

In 2018 we are still going strong and are delighted to have some of the same clients still that we had back in the early days – Our longest client has been with us for nearly 15 years!

We aim to provide a service that is a cut above the rest and we will deliver products that are worthy of the businesses that will use them.

Ken McMonigle
Managing Director

A worldly traveled Scotsman with a passion for helping people succeed. Ken is a veteran technologist, programmer, entrepreneur and business expert with 20 years experience and has a special interest in helping small businesses reach thier full potential through the use of technology.

With a wide and varied career including working with global names such as Save The Children and American Airlines, Ken has also helped many startup businesses takeoff over the years through entrepreneurial and technological support.

In his spare time he is a keen traveller and is also a singer/musician, lyricist and creative writer.

Ken heads up the AWE Media team.

Opal McMonigle
Service Manager

Opal is our service manager and pivotal to delivering our client focused services such as project management, marketing and social media. With a long career across sectors including banking and working with the Australian Federal Government, she brings a wealth of managerial and organisational skills to our clients projects.

As an analytical genius she is also our data expert and can organise and optimise data for businesses. A true Australian who has also lived in Europe, she brings a global touch to our projects.

In her spare time she is also a professional singer/songwriter and musician and enjoys spending time in the rural countryside,

Opal heads up our Australian division from Queensland.

Joe McNeil
Technical Manager

Joe is our technology guru who has special expertise in getting the tough things to work, a great problem solver and a dab hand at managing websites, servers and offering technical solutions to what are often complex problems.

As a keen technologist he enjoys keeping his hand in the latest methods and technologies that are available and always keeps an eye on whats coming in the near future.

In his spare time he is an avid traveller in and around Europe and is no stranger to a ski slope.

Joe heads up our European division from the United Kingdom.

Unlike many web design companies and marketing agencies we do not charge the earth for providing second rate products and service. We provide professional web design and business services at a rate that won't cripple your companies funds.

No call out charges

For our local rural I.T. and local business support service we do not charge a call out fee for coming to you so you can be reassured it won't cost you to see us in person.

Modern technology

We utilise the most up to date technology for all projects. We do not reuse old and outdated practises and platforms. Our solutions will give you a future proof product that not only uses the latest standards but works across all devices including mobiles, tablets and PC's.

Always open

The internet never sleeps and we know that many things can happen outside of normal trading hours. That's why we do not charge any extra for responding at evenings or weekends.
